YOUR SESSION GUIDE

A little preparation goes a long way

From choosing what to wear to helping little ones feel comfortable, this guide will help you prepare for a relaxed session that feels natural and true to you.

WHAT TO WEAR

What you wear can help bring the whole image together, but there is no need to overthink it. The aim isn't to look perfectly styled, it's simply to choose clothes that feel like you and work beautifully together.

A little note about colour

Every colour can be beautiful. It's not about avoiding colour, but about choosing tones that suit the location and the feeling of your session. A bold colour can be perfect in the right setting, the goal is simply to create harmony without taking the attention away from you.

A simple place to start

Start with one outfit you love, then build the rest around its colours and tones. Add complementary shades and subtle patterns to create a relaxed, cohesive look.

Comfort comes first

If something looks beautiful but doesn’t feel like you, leave it at home. Choose clothes you can move, sit, cuddle and play in comfortably, especially when little ones are involved. The more comfortable you feel, the more naturally you’ll move and connect.

You don’t need to buy something new

Please don’t feel that you need a whole new wardrobe for your session. Start with what you already own and love. And for indoor sessions, if the shoes don’t quite work, barefoot is always an option.

These are simply guidelines, not rules. What matters most is that you recognise yourself in your photographs.

The goal is not to look perfect, it’s to feel like you.
