The story behind Frame The Moment

Why I photograph the moments that matter.

I didn't choose photography simply because I love beautiful pictures. I chose it because I believe our memories become more valuable as time goes by.

When I was a child, I loved looking through my parents' old photo albums. Most of the photographs were black and white, yet they were full of life and emotion. I could look through them over and over again without ever getting bored.

Looking back, I realise it wasn't the perfect photographs that fascinated me.

It was the stories they told.

The funny thing is... I have very few photographs from my own childhood. I can count them on my fingers. Maybe that's why I understand how precious a single photograph can become 10, 20 or even 30 years later.

As I grew older, I got my first point-and-shoot film camera. My cousin and I would spend hours taking photographs together, then eagerly wait for the film to be developed. After graduating from university, I bought my first DSLR camera, and from that moment photography became much more than a hobby.

I photographed everyday life.

Family trips.

Holidays.

Walks with friends.

The simple moments that made life special.

Not for social media.

Simply so those moments would never be forgotten.

Today, through Frame The Moment, I hope to give other families something I wish I had more of from my own childhood.

That is why I always encourage parents to bring the things that truly belong to their family: a favourite teddy bear, the bedtime book that is read every night, a well-loved blanket, or an outfit that reminds them of this beautiful stage of childhood.

These are not props.

They are part of your family's story.

Years from now, I don't believe you'll remember which backdrop I used or what lighting I chose.

But you will remember the way your little one smiled.

The tiny hands holding a favourite teddy.

The book you read together every evening.

That is what photography means to me.

Not simply beautiful pictures.

But memories that grow more valuable with time.

I photograph the little things that time quietly changes or takes away, so you can relive them for years to come.
